A bot egg is the egg of a honey bee sized fly that lay their eggs on the hair of horses, usually on the front legs. The egg appears as tiny yellow spots which really stick to the hair. When the horse scratches or licks his front legs, he digests the eggs. The eggs will travel to the stomach lining of the horse and attached themselves there for 7 months before they are released in the horse's feces. This is why keeping your horse on a regular worming pattern is important.

All horse breeds have 18 ribs, with the exception of the Arabian, they have 17 ribs.

All horses have 18 ribs but Arabians only have 17 so one less.

Apparently, we all agree: Horses have 18 pair of ribs and Arabs have on less. Did you know that humans have 12 pair and 1 in 50 have 1 extra? Kind of the opposite of Horses/Arabs aint they?
