From the OSU Horse Nutrition Bulletin 762-00... There are 10 that must be supplied to the horse – arginine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. Lysine is the one most often lacking in growing horse rations.
