Last week’s answer: A horse displaying the facial expression of a curled upper lip pressed back on the nose, with its neck and head extended upward, is exhibiting the “flehmen” response. A horse does this when it detects an odor worthy of pressing into a sensitive olfactory discrimination area called the vomeronasal organ, which is located in the nasal cavity.

When horses breathe into each others nostrils  it can be a greeting and when you blow into their nostrils you saying that you want to be their friend and if they blow back then that means that they acept that.

Congratulations to D.J. Malloy, she is our Trivia Tidbits draw winner!
