Trying to figure out how to get through this forum board and add pictures inside of posts instead of attachments - not sure this is going to work but going to give it a shot!

Hello all,
I have been riding and some showing western since i 13. the last couple years i have been scared to ride. Why? can not tell you.. nothing bad has happened. just got scared. Well, this is for anyone else that had this problem.. suck it up and get out there. this year i got tired of being scared and just got out there and started riding our green horses. This was 3 months ago.. now i am getting ready for a show the first of oct. riding saddleseat for the first time ever. on our home raised 6 yo. and riding our just started 4 yo.. do not know why i got this fear but i did. Age? but it is now gone.. thanks to just getting back in the saddle.. i feel like i did when i was a kid again.. can not wait for ride time!!!!!!!!!

I started riding when I was 47. I do dressage. At my age I prefer my horse's feet on the ground!

I am also new to the group and new to the site. Turned 44 today, started riding when I turned 40. Learned some Cavalry drill with the Governor General's Horse Guards, part boarded a lovely Arab-cross while in Ontario. Now living in Bermuda for a few years as my husband was transferred here. Continuing to ride and sharing a 9 year old Hanovarian-Dutchwarmblood gelding who loves to jump. Now just learning how to jump with him!

New to the group and new to this site. In 6 months I will have to join the 50+ rider's group.

I started riding in Italy when I was 10 years old. Rode on and off for the next 30 plus years until I bought my first horse at the age of 39. Unfortunately she died after a 2nd colic surgery as she twisted 9 days after foaling and then 6-1/2 weeks later again. The horse in my avatar is her filly Jazzy that is now 4-1/2 years old and I just started riding her this year.

It will take me awhile to learn who is who, etc. so please be patient with me.

I guess you must be the Maureen Hall that lives on Scugog Line 2. You finally found Barnmice. Gail. From line 2 and Ashburn Rd. You can see some of my postings on the over 50 and over 60 group that I started. Yes, lovely horse. Gail.
