When I get in the saddle (especially after an extended time) it feels like coming home. There are days I wouldn't get out of bed if it weren't for the horse chores! They are my recreation, my exercise, but mostly my therapists!

I've had my mare (my first horse ever!) for about a year-and-a-half. I have to board her and have experienced some really unpleasant people in the past year. The most recent was the barn owner of the last barn I was at. Long story, but he asked me to leave and in the process he said some horrendously hurtful words to me. My self-confidence took a real kicking, but I'm slowly coming back. I've always had low self-esteem, but being with horses has always made me feel good inside. It's been a life-long dream to have my own horse, and I was 40 when I finally got my sweet mare. She is seven. I look forward to many happy years with her.

Oh, thank you!! I just know I've recovered and healed so much through my horses. It's a constant challenge to train my youngest mare, Bella, but when we make little achievements, my world seems to go right again :) I should have Mirabella for years to come, seeing as she's only six :D

What a wonderful group you started! I could not imagine life without my Magical Maggie. I hope she outlives me. She goes to my 16 year old grandaughter when I pass.

One of my minis did this too so we put the fence boards farther apart so he couldn't rub. You could also try putting wire mesh fencing on the wooden fencing so your mini can't reach through at all
