This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini mares at Mulligans Run Farm. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Comment by Betty Kasper yesterday TGIF and Chantilly deserve their rest. I do miss some of the mares you used to have but the new ones are great too. Just checking in on things every time I need a coffee break!
Comment by Heather Troglauer yesterday TGIF and Chantilly were retired. Pumpkin was sold. So sorry.
Freedom is just hanging in there. she is super super sweet and so pretty. I am anxious to see what she presents for us.
Comment by Annie Raker yesterday I'd love to hear how TGIF, Chantilly and Pumpkin are doing too. Are they in this year's line up?

Comment by Betty Kasper yesterday How is Freedom doing in her progress towards foaling? I have not forgotten to check on her several times a day or more. Hope all is well.
Comment by Betty Kasper on May 17, 2013 at 11:02am With her colorings we could play a game of where is freedom? She is so hard to see you have to wait for her to swish her tail. LOL
Comment by Betty Kasper on May 11, 2013 at 7:31pm Raven's youngster is sure turning into a good looker.

Comment by Heather Troglauer on May 10, 2013 at 10:00am Good morning. I have been so busy and sick on top of that. My apologies for not being here to reply.
The foals and mares go out in a paddock alone until we know that the foal has bonded well to the mare. Then they are introduced to the mare and foal group. They stay together until weaning time.
Betty you are very observant. I went to a farm yesterday and picked up three mares. This mare was not on my list to be picked up but the owner gave me a heck of a deal on her so that she didn't have to foal her out. She had just lost a mare and foal and is now foaling shy. This mare is a producer of some incredible babies that have gone on to make a name for themselves. She is also bred to an incredible stallion that is no longer available to the public. I swore "no more - no more" but this was a deal I couldn't resist. I am praying for a safe foaling. She is friendly but is not accoustomed to having assistance at birth, so we are not sure how she will be. And being that we are new and she is pretty much due anytime at the end of this month, we are hoping we can get her acclimated to us and her surroundings so she is comfortable when it comes time.
Her name is Freedom's Song. We can't decide what to call her.
