Is Pearl in labor?  I could be wrong because I JUST tuned in and maybe she just has gas or has to poo?

We have a race going on.  Precious and Pearl are both close.  They are both full cam - one on cam #1 and one on cam #2.

www.marestare.com/fcam.php?alias=mrun2 for those that need cam #2.

Taking bets on who will foal first....I guess Precious.

I honestly can't remember what time of day they foaled.  We have some that go during the day, but most are at night between 11 pm and 4 am I think.  I have never keep track.  We keep the camera running through the entire birth unless there are issues and then we pull the cam.

Hi Heather, how long do you keep the camera's running during foaling,( i've missed every birth so far !!!!) and would love to see from start, to foal up on it's feet and finding the milk bar !

We won't intervene unless the vet feels that the mare and /or foal are in distress.  She just turned 300 days so she's fine.  She is the closest and should go first based on what tests we can do.  Pearl isn't sharing enough fluid to test consistently.

We normally don't have any issues foaling in January, but this year has been a bear for so many, us included.

I think we'll see a foal or two before the weekend is over...but I've been known to be wrong. LOL

Well no wonder you are foaling in February. Up here in Canada our foals would be popsicles in this weather We foal in April or May. Not much later because you run into bug season. Did Precious have her FOAL YET????. How long do you wait till you interveen?
