This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini mares at Mulligans Run Farm. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Comment by Heather Troglauer on March 17, 2012 at 12:29am Oops...didn't see your comments Stephanie, thank you very much. We have worked long and hard to get to this point.
Comment by Heather Troglauer on March 17, 2012 at 12:28am A fainting foal goes limp...actually looks like they have died. They outgrow it in time. Sometimes just a few hours, sometimes a few days or weeks. We have never had a foal that fainted longer than one or two days.
Comment by Kel on March 17, 2012 at 12:25am What exactly is a 'fainting foal'??
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on March 16, 2012 at 11:08pm That is great. I can't wait to see pics of her as she grows.
I just love all your mini's. They throw very gorgeous foals. I wish to someday have a mini.
Comment by Heather Troglauer on March 16, 2012 at 10:54pm Probably Stephanie. I have her full sister from last year as well. I just love my Precious and her babies....time will tell, but I will likely keep her.
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on March 16, 2012 at 10:50pm @Heather: Are you keeping Simply Surreal?
I wasn't sure what you meant by "fainting foal" so I did a bit of research. She sure doesn't look like a "fainting foal" now. She looks perfect.
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on March 16, 2012 at 9:08pm She is simply gorgeous! I seen you smile when you went to look to see if it was a filly or colt, and when you smiled I knew it was a filly! She is so tiny compared to 'Spy'. :)
She seems to be getting used to her legs, finally.
I loved all the bonding they did when she was born, It was very nice. Wish I could have been there. :)
Comment by Heather Troglauer on March 16, 2012 at 8:39pm Thank you so much. Precious is my favorite mare (along with Ace) and I was hoping for a filly, but figured it was a colt. And a pinto....omg - tiny head, little ears, big eyes...I'm in love. Her name is Simply Surreal "Surri". She is a sweepstakes foal and a full sister to the Champion Sweepstakes winner last year. I am very very pleased. She is a fainting foal...so a little quieter than some. I'll be happy to see her up and running more.
Raven is cam 1 - she is testing ready with a huge bag. Her mom is stressing watching her from so far away!
Wishy is following behind....Dancer and Ace are closing in.
Here is a quick snap of my girl...
Well done Precious and welcome to your beautiful new "daughter"
