This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini mares at Mulligans Run Farm. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Comment by Kate Green on April 9, 2012 at 5:09pm Sorry. I shouldve mentioned it was feeding time for the other moms and their babies. Btw, I have been watching a mare around the corner from me as she closer and closer to foaling. No cam, just driving by. Shes on my regular route to work. She had a little red and white foal last night. It looked to still be wet at 7:45 this morning. The dam is sorrel, probably QH. Its so fun to watch what pops up during spring mornings.
Comment by Katherine Ellis Baer on April 9, 2012 at 4:32pm Thank you, Heather! I didn't really see anything, I was just reading the comments and lamenting missing another birth :-)))
Bah! Ha!
I thought that foal was way too big and mature to be Pumpkin's but seeing them in black and white sometimes makes it difficult to tell who is who.
Comment by Heather Troglauer on April 9, 2012 at 1:35pm Oops - unnamed mare is Freya.....Betty wins LOL
Comment by Heather Troglauer on April 9, 2012 at 1:34pm Pumpkin hasn't had her baby yet katherine. We bring the moms and babies in to eat and they take those stalls, so you may have thought you saw Pumpkin with a foal, but that was Precious and her filly, Suri.
Comment by Katherine Ellis Baer on April 9, 2012 at 1:25pm That makes sense, April :-)))
Comment by april leclair chang on April 9, 2012 at 11:56am is it possible that that was not Pumpkins foal but another brought in to encourage her milk?
Comment by Katherine Ellis Baer on April 9, 2012 at 11:40am Where is everybody? Have Pumpkin and her foal been moved? It doesn't look like the stall has straw in it....Camera three is out and cmaera two is showing an empty aisle....I miss the babies....Is Pumpkin's foal a filly or a colt?
It must be the camera angle!!!
Pumpkin's baby looks almost as big as she is. Well done, Pumpkin sweetheart.
Comment by Kate Green on April 9, 2012 at 10:46am How cute! Looks almost like the foal in Pumpkins stall is reading her name, lol.
