This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini mares at Mulligans Run Farm. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Was hoping to see more signs of active labor before bed, but I got to go. Early morning tomorrow. Hope she hangs on till tomorrow night.
Comment by Heather Troglauer on April 26, 2012 at 10:45pm You guys are a wonderful support group. Thank you so much!
Comment by Kate Green on April 26, 2012 at 10:24pm I know the wait for Freya's foal is now a bit more stressful on the tail of this latest turn of events, but take heart in that you have a lot of people here who care about your horses, you, and all who are there to help you. We will be praying for you guys.
Comment by Kate Green on April 26, 2012 at 10:04pm If only more people understood like the people who visit your group. We lost a mare, years ago shortly after she foaled. Unfortunately, Scott had a family coming out to look at buying his mare that day and when they saw the scene as the recently foaled mare was being taken for burial, they spread rumors about cruelty. The foal also passed within a couple of days. They tried and could not save him. I dont understand why they didnt cancel the appointment with the buyers. Those rumors ruined their reputations.
Comment by Michelle Seguin on April 26, 2012 at 9:22pm Heather, My prayers to you and to Chantily...Bug a Boo was a real little trooper...I did see your x rays and you have done right with your decision. Hugs to you and all that assisted last night...:)
Comment by Tracy McDermott on April 26, 2012 at 8:41pm I am so sorry for your baby Bug-a-Boo. The Xrays made clear the problem and you have mercy. I applaud you and respect you, you are Horsewomen. Any time there are more births chances are there will be loss and it's always hard and heartbreaking. Thanks for being so frank and candid with the information, there is no way to sugar coat so sad an event but we all can learn from so well presented documentation. Thanks.
Comment by Heather Troglauer on April 26, 2012 at 6:28pm Freya has wax. I am going to TRY to get a nap. I pray she foals early, loves her baby, baby poops, pees, nurses and is good so we can relax a bit. :)
Thank you for sharing the x-rays Heather. It helps to see that there was nothing anyone could have done to give this little soul quality life. Your Dad will look after little Bug's.
What a sad ending to Bug's story. I am very sorry for all.
