Comment by Betty Kasper on April 27, 2012 at 9:25pm Freya is still pawing a lot. I would think that means she is having after pains. Once they go she might see him in a different light.
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on April 27, 2012 at 9:21pm I know. Poor little guy. Glad he wasn't hurt. Glad Heather and Shannon are there. He just wants to be with his momma.
Comment by Kate Green on April 27, 2012 at 9:20pm I was really concerned when she bucked and jumped her rear end over him, but he turned out okay. He was just very discouraged.
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on April 27, 2012 at 9:19pm I know. Pearl did it as well in the past.
I do hope she accepts him soon. Poor little guy. :(
Comment by Kate Green on April 27, 2012 at 9:17pm She is having trouble with accepting him enough to nurse. This isn't good, but it is common with maiden mares. I'd like to know how they will deal with this issue, but they will tell us later.
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on April 27, 2012 at 9:08pm LOL Betty! She isn't to impressed having a stall mate. I hope it works out.
Comment by Betty Kasper on April 27, 2012 at 9:06pm Freya is not overly impressed with her offspring. This jumpy wet thing is supposed to be my stallmate? Is her first impression.
Comment by Kate Green on April 27, 2012 at 8:34pm Freya looked back at him like "what is the world is that thing? And why is it behind me?
Comment by Betty Kasper on April 27, 2012 at 8:33pm Freya did very well for a maiden mare. Congratulations hor colt looks great! He has quite the size for a first time mother too.
