This page is dedicated to watching the mares on Mare Stare, starting with the mini mares at Mulligans Run Farm. But be warned....it is highly addictive.

Comment by Betty Kasper on May 14, 2012 at 11:42pm Tonja definetely is not a happy camper but is she ever nice and sleek!
Comment by Kate Green on May 14, 2012 at 11:11pm When they are pastured together all the time they most certainly maintain a relationship. We have one mare and several of her offspring who have all been pastured with her most of their lives. She was closest to her filly(the youngest) but she has moved away. I doubt that filly will remember her at all in a year or so. She has always disciplined and been close with her whole brood.
She is making me dizzy
Question: Once the foals are weaned, do they maintain a connection/friendship with their mothers over time? ie: does Freya know that TGIF is her mother?
Comment by Heather Troglauer on May 14, 2012 at 4:51pm Yep, it's Tonja. I have her in to adjust because this is the way she acts every year. she will settle down. She's such a drama queen LOL
Her bag isn't ready but she's closing in. She gets a bag large enough to cure world hunger. LOL
Comment by Annie Raker on May 14, 2012 at 1:11pm Somebody is genuinely pissed!!
Is it because she has to stay inside because she needs to have this baby? Or is it because she can't get an appointment with her hair dresser?
Please Tonja, get on with it. heather and Shannon have things to do, and so do we... ;-)

Comment by Heather Troglauer on May 13, 2012 at 4:54pm Aww...thanks Stephanie. Happy Mothers day to all.
Tonja still has us in a holding pattern....soon I hope....I really hate foaling in the heat. Just seems to be more issues with the foals. (knock on wood).
Comment by Stephanie Scotton on May 13, 2012 at 3:30pm Happy Mother's Day all!! And to the mini's as well. :)
Comment by Heather Troglauer on May 10, 2012 at 1:29pm Probably. She is a head thrower. Her bag is increasing but still not where she needs to be to be left in.
