The filly, Anastacia, had some minor oxygen deprivation which resulted in her have a slow suckle reflex.  She has spent the last two hours butting and licking Kitty's bag instead of sucking. Butting the bag makes it fill, so Kitty is a bit sore. She adores her baby but is learning to tolerate the nursing part.  It will come I'm sure.

So cute! Poor little thing though...Miss Kitty doesn't want to let her drink. She's like "hold still mom geez!"

Oh I think it has to be Maureen.  And as much as she has eaten, I don't expect a tiny baby.  I swear she things they are hunger pains.  Food makes everything better. LOL

I wonder if labour is as painful for them as it was for us. It doesn't seem to be.
