Every horse i've seen with a number by their withers have been Mustang and/or QH.

I have a 16 year old gelding with a four digit number brand just below and behind his wither. He seems to be a Warmblood type. We have been show jumoing succesfully for a while now. Does anyone recognize that kind of brand or know what breed he might be? Thanks
