- A Bit About Me and my Horse(s)
- My name is Abby. I have been a definate horselover my whole life. My dad surprised me with my first two horses when I was 12 years old. The two mares were 8 year old, Appy x QH, half sisters, with totaly differant atitudes. Their names were Lannie and Maria, but I changed them to Luna and Miagh (scottish way of spelling Mia). I just sold them in early September... Luna still lives just down the road and Miagh was picked up and taken all the way to Niagara Falls!
Just before we sold them, I got an amazing 3/4 Connemara, 1/4 Welsh large pony, Irish! He's my world and I would do anything for him... he's a gray, 14.1 3/4hh, and absolutely LOVES jumping... we jump 2'6'' and he could go higher. After we sold Luna he was alone for a week until we found a little Mini gelding named Peanut at the time! We renamed him Miles... cause, you know, he is miles tall :) lol... he also loves to do in hand jumping and I will hopefully do shows with him as soon as he gets used to walking on a lead line more...
I have tried many riding styles throughout my life. Hunter, jumper, dressage, I curently do PPG's in Pony Club, and this year I plan to start cross country and even some western.
Okay, I NEED to tell every body about my dog, Penny. She is the most beautiful Black and Tan Coonhound that you ever did see. The best thing about her is that she is people friendly and at the same time, a perfect watch-dog. When the cyotes come around at night, one big hound dog bark and she scares them away! We got Penny about 3 years ago at Christmas. She was 4 years old and full of energy! Getting that dog will always be a night to remember!
I am an artist, singer, guitar player, and obviously a horselover/rider! I love drawing horses, realisticly or as a cartoon. My favourite singer/songwritter is Taylor Swift. She has sooo much talent! Something to add to the "artist part", I LOVE designing horse farms on graph paper! My friends call it wierd, but wait until they see me making money as an architecture! Ha ha ha! Love my life! Anyways, I hope to get lots of helpful info from you fellow horse lovers! TTFN!
