Mission statement

Hello,

I am on a mission, namely I would like to learn as much as possible about thoroughbreds. I live in The Netherlands and in my country it is not so easy to really get to know about thoroughbred horses. There is only one racetrack and the number of horses, the number of races and purses have been going down for many years. Most Dutch people hardly know anything about thoroughbreds but act as if they do. Unfortunately the things they believe are not always in favor of the thoroughbred. Like people say that they have a downhill conformation, they are all crazy, they have bad movement, they spoilt the jump in the warmblood breed, they are too tall and don't have enough muscle (for the Quarter horse people) or they are too small and too much like a Quarter horse (according to the warmblood people), they are not sound etc. etc.

I have owned one TB myself in the past and for a little while I owned her daughter. I have been to Newmarket in the UK a few times, I have been to the races a few times, I try to watch races on the BBC but we only have BBC 1 and 2, I have read a lot about TB's, I have been to Kentucky once but I think I have so much more to learn and find out.

So I am hoping to find out more on Barnmice.
