"Heather, Just wondering...where do the mares with foals go once they leave the foaling barn? It would be fun to see them now. Second question: how many more foals are you expecting this season?  I miss you already!!!"

Our cams are up and three of our stalls are filled. Our list of expectant girls and their suitors can be seen at http://www.mulligansrun.com/Expecting.php

We have in Shandy, Unforgettable and Sugar Baby

New Foaling Season starting soon

We have 15 mares due this year. The first two, Unforgettable and Shandy, will be 300 days at the end of January. We will start watching them shortly after the New Year.

We have 10 cams up at our farm, but not all are on at the same time. We currently have cams 1-4 on in the main barn 24/7 just to keep an eye on things. Cams 5-9 will be on when needed and 10 & 11 are in the baby barn - used if the mares back us up and we run out of room. LOL Last year we had alot of mares that… Continue

Mares Currently due to foal at Mulligans Run Farm

Mares Currently due to foal at Mulligans Run Farm We currently have four mares on cam #1. On the top left we have Piper. Piper is a fatty even when she's not pregnant. This makes her breathe harder when she's laying down...also giving false impressions of labor. We have tried to get weight off her....she has dropped some, but looks as big as can be carrying this foal. She is due 4/2 but has a full tight bag - the biggest in the barn. On the top Right we have Shanza Blue. Shanza is my favorite… Continue

we are feeding them Breeda at the moment and same hay.

Also to bug you more haha sorry we have some rock salt about the size of a small childs hand and they dont seem to find it in the paddock, would they get enough salt if i pop 1 rock salt in the feed bucket while feeding on the breeda and garlic and carrots with hay after?
