Here is what your student will need to complete the English Learn to Ride program:
• Join the Ontario Equestrian Federation
• Purchase the English Rider Manual(s)
• You may also wish to purchase Stable Management in Canada
• Contact a current and Certified Equine Canada Instructor or Coach to begin training
• When the coach feels you are ready, they can administer the exam to you, some
exams require you to use a coach other than your regular coach
• The completed exam and payment is then submitted to the OEF office by the evaluator
You are correct, your level 2 is the equivalent of Rider Level 5. The jumping portion of the test is optional. However, the jumping is required if you are using the Rider Level tests as a prerequisite for Coach 1 certification.
