I could not sleep last night – up at 3:30 a.m. My mind would not turn off; knowing that sleep was past I came downstairs to read which turned into working a touch on the computer.
There is this fly and it keep landing on my screen; making, I’m sure little pad prints all over it; he will not land on anything else. It’s driving me crazy.
Today is the day Beverly works behind the mall over in Dieppe so she will drop me off at Starbucks around 9 and picks me up around…

The truck rattled and banged over the pockmarked road that led to the airport stables. It had been a tough winter, the endless pattern of freezing and thawing had left much of the area’s roadways battered and aged.
Gelden had chosen not to tell Hillary about Tesla’s whereabouts. Not because he felt she didn’t have the right to know, she did. But if he were wrong, if the note had not been about Tesla, if Maxim’s cryptic T.E.S. had stood for something else entirely (take Echinacea…

Dear fellow Saddlebred friends,
As many of you know, promoting Saddlebreds is a big responsibility for Saddlebred owners, trainers, and riders. Some areas of the country are better represented with ASB clubs and shows than others, and that is why I am writing to you today. Northwest Indiana and the Chicago south suburbs could benefit from a regional charter club for Saddlebreds, and I am proposing that we do just that. I have secured a domain name (nwisa.com) and have filled out the ASHA…

Nathan and Shirley came up for dinner yesterday but I was out of it with a strong headache. I wasn’t so much fun. Just as well as Beverly, Shirley, Nathan, and Liz talked most about the upcoming wedding.
Nathan made coffee after dinner – as you know I drink it black and no sugar – he used my good coffee – but when I took my first sip it was like drinking mud; how much coffee did you use three or four scoops? – I didn’t see the scoop, so I just poured it in. – I got that look from…

It looks like it’s going to be a wonderful day out there; not a cloud in the sky.
We worked on our garden yesterday for over four hours. The sun was hot but it’s so addictive once you start it’s had to stop; looking good though.
I’ve got a lot of work to do this morning in my Studio. Liz was in yesterday cleaning up my bookcase that covers one side of the room. She organized and labeled the shelves so I’ll know what’s what. I’ll now have to find the book I want, but it…

What a great day – lots of work; met a few new people and had some time to work on the Thursday File web site. It should be up any day now.
I plan now to go out and work on the garden – the weeds are planning an attack. I need to get out there and clear them out. The plants are looking very good; in fact I’m looking forward to picking my first Zucchini tomorrow. I like to pick them when they’re quite small rather, than letting them get large.
I wished it would just rain –…

Another not so nice day but I hear Montreal had severe thunderstorms and they had a Tornado-like waterspout - http://www.cbc.ca/canada/montreal/story/2008/07/23/qc-waterspout0723.html
Had two mugs of coffee this morning and I feel I’m flying high. But at the same time I’m totally existed – got to bed too late the last couple of nights.
I think this weekend I will just chill out if I can with Beverly – maybe get to the beach out in Shediac, depending on the weather of…

My morning classes canceled; I have the morning off right up until 2pm, it's like “Total Freedom” - at first you think “what am I going to do, relax enjoy the time you have” - then it hits you – time is too precious to slip by – plan it out and be constructive well it’s still early. Here I go. . . I think I’ll start by taking Beverly to breakfast.

Well after a good three weeks of sun and hot weather I guess it's only natural that it would have to rain sometime.
I got up around 5:30; the rain was coming down and it's still coming down. We do need it. But I miss my sun.

As I look out the window, it's about 7:30am, I slept in, there's little wind yet lots of clouds covering the sky but for the moment the sun is out casting long shadows across the property. My studio is in full sunlight, lifting ones sprits; leading one to think it could be a very nice day.
I want to do so much today, the mornings always fill me with that desire, but if I don’t get started I find myself losing steam pretty fast. So here I go starting with a blog.

My trip has now been finished off with three days at Talland. They were three very good days and as always, I learnt a lot.
Every day this time and last time I was there I rode a mare called Jovie, who I got along well with. She was trained to about Prix St George, which is perfect for me to learn on. She had to be ridden with a very soft contact and mainly from the seat, as if you had too much contact she just went faster and faster! 'Quick-releases' helped her come up in front and…

What I'm about to say is not inspirational, as my trip to Yorkshire has been very... interesting, to say the least. The area of Yorkshire is fine and very beautiful, with big farms and delicious tea, but Yorkshire Riding Centre is a place I would rather not go to again.
I was supposed to stay at YRC (Yorkshire Riding Centre) for the week, but after the first night and the first day of group lessons I was not very impressed. The second day was not any better. I didn't come halfway…
