I'm done..... i did this for fun and not to get in a fight.... obviously she took it in the wrong way... i didn't see that it was a draw, does anybody else notice that they are picking on a kid?

Congrats Melissa. It was a great answer. With smell being one of our strongest senses it is understandable why you would write that. One of my favorite things about summer is the smell of fresh cut grass..so I get it..lol.

It's quite sad; I recall it was clearly stated in the contest info that a winner would be chosen by a random draw. Which allows us to write what we want. I participate for fun not to win something. No one who wins should ever be made to feel bad about wining. After this I’m not sure if I’ll participate for fear ever of being trashed if by some odd chance I won.

By the way, I did read all of the answers and I ended up practically in tears from all the beautiful thoughts people shared.

Thank goodness we chose our winner with a draw - I would never have been able to choose otherwise!!

Hey everyone, as promised, we did a random draw.

We used a website called random.org to generate a random number.

We included Melissa's reply just in case anyone happened to be curious  - no other reason.
